Plant Smiles, Grow Giggles, Harvest Love

Happy Thanksgiving to all my loves! For my first Thanksgiving with you all, I want to share with you what (and who) I am most grateful for. While everyone's idea of Thanksgiving is a bit different depending on how you look at its origins, one thing remains true: this day is about good food with even better company. This past weekend, my best friend, Maryanne, and I took our first trip together (just us twinsies) to Savannah, Georgia. Why Savannah? Because we like good food and everything was within walking distance. As New Yorkers, we live up to the stereotype of not having our driver's licenses so this was a must. Below is a recap of all the deliciousness that we got to try in thirty hours!

Hello there loves! I'm back with another edition of Tuesday Shoesday. DSW recently had a sale that included an additional 25% off clearance. Since I am a rewards member, I also had an extra $10 coupon. Combining all these things together, I was able to get three pairs of shoes for $36 each. They are faux leather, but very soft and comfortable. The snake print on the back doesn't look cheap and the gold bar across the back heels are actual metal, not plastic. There is a functional…

Tuesday Shoesday: Basic Black Booties

Hello loves! I apologize for the lack of posts, but I promise to start posting more, especially with the holiday season coming up! Everyone knows that basic black booties are a closet staple, but it's hard to find one for a good price that is also of good quality. Today I want to share with you this amazing steal that I found on ASOS.
I found these Monki black faux leather booties for a mere $32. Of course I could not resist. I am a true 5.5 in women's, but had to order a 6 because there were no half sizes. While it is a bit roomy in the front and on the sides, it does not make my feet look awkwardly wide. I did have to break them in a bit because of the high front ankle, but that's expected from boots of this style. The leather gets scuffed easily, which I am not too crazy about since I've only worn it once and I have a few scratches already. However, I absolutely love the elastic stretch in the back for a fun twist on the classic Chelsea boot and the thick soles bec…
