To New Beginnings in Texas

Flashback to my junior year at the University of Rochester when I met two incoming freshman, Natalie and Jessica, who quickly became two of the best people to have wandered into my life. In June 2016, Natalie moved to Dallas to start her career as a teacher. In May 2017, Jessica relocated to Houston to continue her career in finance. Needless to say, while I am incredibly proud of how much these two ladies have grown since I met them, I knew that I would miss them even more. And so one night on a whim, I booked a flight to Dallas to see them both.

Natalie was sure to welcome both Jessica and I to Dallas by giving us the bougiest grand tour. From a morning workout and fancy brunch to spectacular views and delicious foods, we were in for a great Fourth of July weekend. I'll let the photos speak for themselves!

I may not have made too many friends at UofR, but the ones I did make will last me a lifetime. These two ladies started out under my wings and now we are soaring together. Wh…

DC with my Day Ones

As much as I love and absolutely adore these two ladies, this trip has been long overdue. While Rasha and I moved back to New York City after college, the third pea in our pod, Valeria, moved down to Washington, DC. Over the past four years, we'd talk and talk about how we'd visit each other "soon." This was the word we would use to describe our failed plans. While Valeria stopped by NYC to see us all the time, even if it was just on the way to catch a train elsewhere, she made sure that we knew she was coming. Don't fret though, Rasha and I finally made it down to DC (and it most definitely won't be our last visit).

Valeria made sure to give us the grand tour of the place she calls home - totaling over 35,000 steps (because, of course, we needed to go dancing as well). We toured the entirety of the National Mall, stopped by the Fish Market for some yummy seafood, and went dancing at El Centro. Check out all the fun below!

I Do's and No Shoes

If you know me, you'll know that I love weddings. It is one of the most beautiful and honoring things to witness a union between two people who share unconditional love and genuine happiness together. One of my dear friends from grad school, Hazel, recently got married to who I must say, is probably her perfect match. I was lucky enough to be invited to their destination wedding in Punta Cana. Needless to say, I did not hesitate to RSVP a big fat YES!

Now I've been to Punta Cana several times before, but it was my first time staying at the Melia Caribe Tropical. It's a beautiful all inclusive resort with some of the most beautiful greenery for that Instagram worthy shot. If you think the resort is gorgeous, wait till you see the wedding venue at the Huracan Cafe. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Don't think I didn't take advantage of the amazing views for a few shameless photoshoots made possible by my bestie, Rasha!

I am so grateful to have been a …
